What's the deal with the Cochran Genesis?

I can't answer your question, but the Cochrans were among many computers I looked at before buying my first. Money wasn't really that much of an issue, but they didn't make the short list largely because it did seem like they would be overkill for my style of diving (finally ended up with an Aeris 2, Tusa IQ800 was the runner-up).

I'm sure they probably have a good following among tech and commercial divers. I'm sure there are rec divers who like them as well. My OW instructor had one, but he was a self-professed "gadget guy" and it was just one of many he owned.
 
I've never heard of a Cochran Genesis - is this a new product?

Thanks Jason, I checked out the comparison chart and of course it being a part of Cochran's website it's color coding for ok, best, worst, and not apply is completely bogus. But that's expected. I would like to hear personal accounts.
