Power Scuba Folks,

This past weekend saw amazing dives occur. Not only did our Saturday La Jolla Shores dive happen in the still-warm water at La Jolla, but we had 29 members motor out to San Clemente Island aboard the Horizon... where, among the stellar vis and great conditions, a Cornet Fish was spotted by a few lucky attendees. This just might extend the known range of these unique looking fish! Yes, the warmer-than-usual water continues to have its effect on local diving!

The San Clemente crowd also got to wake up on Sunday at Farnsworth Bank (Catalina) for two amazing dives on this much-sought-after pinnacle. Vis in excess of 100' and no current meant they caught the dive site at just the right moment! Some said it was the nicest they've ever seen beautiful Farnsworth!

Not done yet. Power Scuba also had 30 of you gather at Scripps Canyon for a fun Sunday morning dive at this restricted site. Thanks to UCSD for allowing us to convoy our vehicles right onto the sand and perform our beach & u/w cleanup and fish ID census.

So yeah... Farnsworth. That should have caught your attention. Few are the times a diver can say they've dove Farnsworth in those kind of fantastic conditions. As luck would have it, we have ANOTHER boat going there this weekend. No guarantees it'll be as good as last weekend, but we hafta try! Join us! 2-Day Trip: Santa Barbara & Catalina Islands (Farnsworth)!

Speaking of gathering together, why not hang out with us this Wednesday after work in Ocean Beach? We help break in a new hot spot, the Michael Hess Brewing Company: November Happy Hour with Power Scuba!

Check our calendar for the many scuba and social events we have posted.

SAFETY NOTE: Lost Buddy Procedures: You look around for no more than a minute, then make a safe ascent to the surface. If both of you agree to this method before you go in the water you'll never be separated by more than three or four minutes. Easy! Just a leetle bit of talking with each other before the dive can prevent a world of heartache afterward.
