My dive buddy who has 18 years diving experience tells me that he would swim toward the Great White. He believes from his readings, and discussion with other experienced divers over the last 10 years is that the animal would get confused and hopefully take off. They are not used to being chased, but the one chasing.
He suggest to also stay near the sea bottom if at all possible, and surface to the boat only when exiting.
My AOW instructor said he would purge his regulator big time, and make himself look huge by waving his arms and legs, almost spread eagle.
Any of you agree to this?
What if any of you have done to stay alive when this predator has gotten close?
I like the potential of the Shark Pod as a deterent but I know nothing about it.
