We're all supposed to get 15 minutes, and who knows what those 15 minutes will be about?

So what was your 15 minutes about?

Who, what, where, why and how?

And if you haven't had it yet....give the details of your 15 minutes of FLAME..

okay...

15 minutes of "fame" and "flame" put together - I was interviewed on TV about a local grocery store that was selling live wolf-eels. I went down to the location with the crew and did the interview about how awful it was, how they were dying in there, and how awesome they are, yada yada yada...

Then I saw it later and got ribbed about it for years as I was wearing a relatively sheer shirt, and...it was "nippy" inside the store. And I think I actually said "flabbergasted" on television. It took a long time to live that one down.

Fame and flame, all in one.

So where can we get a film clip?

I was contacted by an advertising agency to do a commerical for a modem manufactuer. They were looking for a financial planner that rode Harley's to make a commercial about a card type modem for laptops. The commerical ran at Comdex and was also used in several magazines ads for about a year. I was even paid for the experiance. The best part it was shot with movie film and the film maker gave me all of the footage of me "tooling" around the desert on my Harley. Pretty good stuff to show the kids and soon to be grandkids.

Hmmm... let's see. Working on a Cousteau TV documentary in the "Rediscovery of the World" series, but I was never in front of the camera although I did a little shooting. Did make the credits so that's a few seconds out of my 15 minutes.

Featured on a segment of Tom Brokaw's national news for my work as Vice President of the Catalina Conservancy... how my "office" was the 76 sq mi island, how we were saving island foxes, how we were ecologically restoring the island etc., etc. It was a nice piece but only 2 minutes so I expect to have nearly 13 minutes left!
