Not an all time best or anything, but I thought putting salt in the sugar shakers was kinda funny, until the coffee drinkers in my house made me drink their nasty NaCl-ified Kahawa

kahawa better be tequila

I used to work on an oceanographic ship, the woman I shared a bathroom with TP'd my office. I filled the bathroom with inflated weather baloons.

Here in Sitka, we have an entry in some "all time best April fool's jokes" book.

A few decades back, a man here in town, named Oliver "Porky" Bickar pulled a doozy.
We have a dormant volcano here, called Mt. Edgecumbe - it looks just like Mt. Fuji. Porky and those known as the "dirty dozen" arranged to have hundreds of old tires flown out via helicopter and dropped into the crater of the volcano.
On April first, they lit the tires, and everybody thought the volcano was exploding!
It certainly caused some panic!

Of course they had already let the police department, the Coast Guard, State troopers etc know beforehand, so they were able to field the calls........

April 1st wasn't their only time to pull pranks. Every St. Patty's day they painted the center line in the roads green, and put little plywood shamrocks at the intersection.
