joshua. . . every diver in the state hasn't dropped by your house to welcome you yet?

When I was young, I dove every weekend year round. . . now I don't have anything to learn from cold water. But, there are divers many weekends at the lake now.
At any time of year to find divers, go to lake Tenkiller and check the underwater park. Also, stop in at both dive shops, you may find divers refilling their tanks. Offer help carrying their tanks, ask questions in a friendly way, and if they're not going out in a small boat, maybe they will offer to take you along. If it is an instructor with students, don't feel rejected. . . They have business to take care of with their students. If you approach a husband and wife, they obviously want to dive together.
In a friendly way, approach divers, and if they're not in a hurry, almost all will share information about what they know about the area. And if it fits in with their plans, they'll invite you to join in.
I know almost a dozen Muskogee divers, although a few only dive the ocean. There are hundreds of divers in Tulsa and hundreds more in Oklahoma City. Also, regularly diving Tenkiller are divers from Ft. Smith Arkansas. So meeting divers in Muskogee may be difficult, but meeting divers at the underwater park, or meeting others at the two lake dive shops. . . is a "target rich" environment
