w/ 1mm in salt water I put 4# in the weight pockets, and 4# in the rear trim pockets. I could possibly use less, but it's hard to divide up less in any good way, or get smaller than 2# weights when traveling.

I dive a D12 BP/W rig. I carry 4.5kg in a tailweight, and 2kg that I put on my left harnesstrap next to my canlight.
In a perfect world, I'd get a 6kg tailweight, and be perfectly balanced trimwise.

Ie 4.5 non-ditchable, and 2kg ditchable weight atm.

A combination of al and steel tanks and plates for everything from skin to 7mm. 100% on my back. Stable and balanced. No ditch able weight needed.
