Diving my 7mm 1 piece in fresh water with my HP100, I wear 12 lbs - 3 in each of my trim and ditchable pockets.

Adding my 7mm hooded vest and using an AL80 in salt water, I'll use 26 lbs - 5 each in the trim pockets, the max they are rated for, and the rest evenly split between the integrated pockets and a belt.

60/40 front/back but I seem to trim better at 70/30 if I can get small enough sized weights.

I wear a BP/W, so there is 5 1/2# of plate on my back to start with, I normally wear a 7mm farmer john with a step in jacket and 7/5 hood, it's old so it has lost some buoyancy. The weights are for an HP100 and are 2# negative at 500# @ 15'.

In fresh water I wear a 4# Belt and 2#on each cam band, 70% on my back.

In salt water I wear a 10#belt and 3# on each cam band, 53% on my back.

I would rather carry all the weight on my belt, but my trim would suck more than usual.

I may be old, but I'm not dead yet.

Zero, I use a belt or harness with a BP/W. Had to toss it it, going to happen sooner or later on SB.
When I did use a BCD with integrated, I put 1/4 to 1/3 of my lead in the back pockets.

It all depends on what exposure protection and configuration I'm wearing.
3mm single cylinder, 50-60% in my trim pockets
Dry suit single cylinder, around 30%
Sidemount; zero to 4 pounds

I dive a backplate and wing - and I carry all (100%) of my weight on my back. About half of that is the plate itself and the other half is positioned for trim.

None of this weight is ditchable but the whole assembly is a well balanced rig that I can swim up if needed. It can also keep me at a 3m stop with an empty tank.

I carry 9 pounds on my back, and 20 lbs in a weight belt that consists of two shaped 10 lb weights that sit on my hips.

I carry 7.7lbs (3.5kgs) on my back (SS plate and 2 trim weights) and 2.2lbs (1kg) on a weight belt plus canister light so around another 2.2lbs. I wear a two piece 7mm FJ w/hood and dive a 12ltr steel tank in salt water.

In salt water in 7mm wetsuit with an AL80 (not cool enough yet for steel tanks) and a steel backplate I have about 7.5 (plate plus 2 x 1lb weights) on back and an additional 12 on belt.
Warm salt water with a 3/2mm, just an AL plate (I think it's 2 - 2.5 lbs) I used 4 lbs on a belt, 2 lbs of which i don't need.
