I have recently finished my adv. scuba class and have no idea were to go next? I relize that it depends on my intrusts but everything looks cool. Would a closed water certification be sutible for my leavel? eventually i would like to be a certifide dive instructor/master but cant decide were to go next?

P.S. Sorry for the spelling errors 8)

thanks conman

Rescue is a good class to take once you are comfortable with everything. Nitrox certification is also useful. Aside from that, classes are fine when you are really interested in something in particular, but mostly you should just go diving.

Not sure what you mean by "closed water certification."

lol ya iv been diving a lot, i have my nitrox and my rescue diver also, by closedwter i meent wreck penatration, cave or anything like that...i guess closed water dosent make sence:D

im looking on the NAUI site right now how about MASTER DIVER?

i like to know what direction im going in that way i can set goals for school with my father (ex If i get no Fs in school then he will help out a lil on the course fee!)

I think you should make plans to pay the entire course fee out of YOUR pocket, since an F in English is guaranteed. :D

the term "overhead" is often used. You need to be 18 for a lot of those courses, sounds like you're not.

Having taken NAUI's Scuba, Advanced, Master, Nitrox, and Rescue courses, I'd probably recommend Rescue for you. I loved NAUI's Master course, but it's heavily academic and would serve you best when you've had more experience with which to associate its information. Nitrox is a great cert to have, but I don't imagine you're going to have a lot of extra money to spend on EAN, and you're probably not about to go spend a week on a liveaboard (but if you're going to, *definitely* do Nitrox).

Rescue will teach you the most and be most applicable to you, at least for now, or so I would assume from what little of you I know. :)

Oh, and if you intend to drop expensive gear overboard, you can usually get your instructor to tack on Search & Recovery to the Rescue class -- it'll be the S&R you've touched on, but more thorough. It paid for itself on the first dive after I got mine... but that's a whole 'nother story. :D
