What is the Vis - Catalina lately

Hey folks.
Looking for dive conditions lately at Boat only dive sites. ie: Quarry, Eagle Rock, Bird Rock, Farnsworth etc.
It's been a while since I have taken a dive boat to Catalina. So a trip in in my future. I will be diving dry regardless of water temp.

LOL! I'm going out on Sat on the westerly, I'll get back to you re vis. But a Dry suit?? It's been so hot here I am considering diving my 3 ml with a lavacore vest this weekend. The thought of wrestling with that 7ml....

Brook Peterson reported 30-50 feet vis on the backside of Catalina last Saturday with temps in the low 60s at depth, warmer at the surface.

Why dive wet, when you can dive dry?

This week we have heard that Farnsworth was good conditions. We have seen good vis on the front side for the past few weeks.

Dive 1: Lulu's reef temp 59 at 70 feet. Vis 20 ish.
Dive 2&3 Black rock vis a little better for dive 2 maybe 25-30feet, dive 3 vis 20 feet. Depth 30-40. Temp 68 to 75 Nice and warm near the top.

I can't comment on boat dive sites since I haven't been out to them lately. Vis in the park has been terrible much of the summer. Last weekend I thought I was approaching a thick kelp forest but at a distance of 15 ft I realized it was the wall at Little Casino Reef. I have heard that vis is better further up the coast though (and a local and very experienced) angler reported 78.3° F surface temperature at Cherry Cove recently.
