I've been to or past 100 FSW on several dives now and am taking the Nitrox now...I'm not planning on taking "deep" I was just wondering what the use of the deep course was, since it seems like you could take the AOW and just apply that knowledge to do dives from 100-130.
Ontario Diver:Under PADI rules - anything over 60' is deep.
Junko - What kind of diving do you want to do? The PADI Deep course is only as good as its instructor. Some shops do a good or great job and some treat it like a money maker. If I recall correctly, three of the four dives have to be below 60 feet (65 is fine) and only one has to be below 80 ft. Make sure you are getting what you want out of the course.
If you do want to explore deep diving, I would be suggesting that Nitrox would be a better start and then perhaps look into some technical training.
