If I get the Halos I'll put a G250V face plate on, blue main diaphragm and SP viva decal. It will then be a G250V but with non splined jam nut, halcyon got that right.

And yes cover will fit but decal/script will not line up.

You can fit a G250V face plate on a G250 but 9/10 script will not centre, I did have one G250 where it did miraculously line up.

I can’t see them spec’ing a new size lever. I’ll bet the geometry is the same as whatever SP model this is a crossover from (G-250V someone said?)

It's a G250V in a different dress. First iteration was identical save face plate, viva decal and jam nut.

This latest version, main diaphragm has also changed and of course ugly as sin face plate.

The infamous "Mike Wizowski" regulator...

As far a beautiful faceplates, nothing beats a 109.

Until you actually use it and the face plate gets dented up, scratched up and covered in verdigris, the soft purge cover deforms and decays or free flows into current. But they are pretty NIB.

I got a job once to polish out a vintage Airstream trailer for a guy. He specifically told me not to metal finish out all the dings on the front because they were considered ‘beauty marks”. His fellow Airstream trailer society would know that and look for them when they were on one of their meets.
So I’m going to stick with the same philosophy with my 109’s. Use is a beautiful thing.
However, I have been known to metal finish out a few dings on my 109’s and 1085’s, but have not crossed the OCD line of actually having them re-chromed.

I’m also wondering if they did away with the lock pin and the barbed diaphragm retaining ring to make it easier to remove the silicone diaphragm for cleaning?

I can confirm that the locking pin is indeed for cleaning, pretty early on in my cave training I was told it is best to remove the locking pin from my ScubaPro regs so I can open them up underwater if I have to. I would guess that the retaining ring is for the same reason.
