Lets just say that after seeing a fellow diver with an expensive video rig drop it towards the 700 meter deep bottom of the red sea, my rig is ALWAYS clipped onto me with a minimum of a coiled lanyard unless I can easily go fetch the camera should I lose it...

The guy who dropped his was unable to retrieve it as he couldn't catch up - fortunately for him another diver could and ended up with 10 minutes worth of deco in the process..

I use a Goodman handle with a bolt snap (similar to this but with a metal o-ring to extend the bolt snap a little bit). When I'm recording, I clip the bolt snap to the bungee cord of my computer or compass in case I drop the camera. Otherwise I keep the camera clipped to a d-ring on my shoulder.

I have a coiled lanyard clipped to me crotch d-ring. I have another bolt snap tied to my camera housing so I can clip the camera off closer to my body. This way on descents I can clip the camera off on my crotch d-ring and focus on the descent and bubble checks etc. Once on the bottom the camera is in my hands but always witht he coil lanyard clipped on. If at anytime I need to put the camera down I can use the additional clip to clip it to my chest or crotch d-ring.

The camera must be connected to the wrist? Connected to BC (Buoyancy Compensator)? What kind of strap or cable must be used for this? Does anyone know the name of that equipment and where to find it?

If you decide to try the Z Gear bcd Go Pro mount I can send it to you with an extension arm already on it. This gives you the best option for filming hands free, as you can see what the camera is filming.Check out the how to use video and I have also included some scuba board members videos using the Z Gear BCD mount with the extension arm.
