For years I have been storing my regs on a UK hanger (old style) via the DIN holder and then the BC resting on the rest of the hanger. Now I am wondering if I should just leave them if my regulator bags. Does it matter? Thanks for any advice.

I think it's generally recommended that you not keep regulators in a regulator bag for long term storage; as it creates too tight of a loop in the hoses and places additional stress on them...

I hang most of mine off hangers like this - I hang 1 BCD and one regulator on one hanger

If you will notice there is a large hole - DIN Attachment
and a smaller hole at the bottom - Yoke Attachment.

I have a couple in a large tote that I use for cavern. (ran out of hangers and closet space)

Great! Thank you. I have the same hangers but noticed the new ones no longer have the yoke or din fittings. Thus the question. It is good to know that I am smart in spite of myself....:)

I store mine dry, dark and where there is no stress on the hoses. A large mesh bag, in the closet works good.

Dry, dark, and no hose stress are good. Be on the lookout, however, for spiders taking up residence in the second stage. I've seen live black widows in one second stage the customer stored in his garage.

That could make for a bad dive.

I cover each 2nd stage with an old sock secured with a big rubberband.....stops critters from taking up residence in MY stuff....

I would make sure said sock didn't have a funky smell ... might lead to an interesting taste on the next dive.
