Six month's ago I bought a Canon Power shot s230 3.2MP.
I think it's the best camera I've ever had. If the s230 doesn't have the crispness that your looking for go to the s400 4.0MP. I found for the price that it wasn't werth it. Also try going into the settings and putting it to fine or super fine can't remember, but that will increase your pictures clearness but also decrease the amount of pics your card can hold. You can always upgrade the card size like I did. Anyways good luck.
