What is stopping you from switching to a rebreather?

What would be the features (or lack of) for the major some current units that you feel safety and reliability are not primary.

I've been doing a lot of reading on CCRs recently, and redundancy and safety seem to be what most of the major design features are aimed at... double, triple, even quadruple redundancy for O2 level sensing, etc...

As regards backup monitoring on CCR, dunno if you guys are interested but there's a new product been doing the rounds on this side of the pond for a little while - have a look and see what you think. Sorry about posting a link to another forum, but it's got a pretty detailed write-up on the thing. It's a HUD by the way..

There are a few options out there for HUD, aftermarket and OEM...
