How about Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand?
Summer hasn't arrived in HK and Republic of China yet.

Summer heat and sunlight would just shorten the life of the virus on the contact surfaces. The virus concentration in the contact surfaces & droplets and how soon you transfer them from the contact surfaces to your mouth and nose have a lot to do with the spreading. If you are in a confined space with people that have covid-19 +, like in hospital, inside a grocery stores, etc., no matter where your country geographic location, you would increase your chances to get the virus.

Plenty of sunshine in Singapore and its surrounding countries.
SARS disappeared in Jul 2003.

Who is responsible to combat this "chinese virus" from the beginning in Singapore?
Are those people still around and drawing handsome salary?

Actually, I am in this industry. And the industry is small.. not much salary change since the latest virus.

Central, when you talk about how well Hong Kong is doing, this has often come to my mind and now the media is taking a look at it too.

Social distancing in 100 square feet: Hong Kong's cage homes are impossible to self-isolate in Hong Kong's cage homes are almost impossible to self-isolate in - CNN

Prevention is better than cure.
Compare HK and Singapore.
Workable solutions to Hong Kong dire housing situation

Singapore is slightly more densely populated than HK.
The only logical reason I can think of is the habit of wearing Mask right from the beginning without any advice/suggestion from the Gov. Lesson learnt from SARS.
When the first case was reported on 22nd Jan, the price of the mask sky rocketing in no time at all.
Shortage of certain household essential items eg. toilet roll etc etc.
When the infection is low. It is a lot easier to trace the origin and isolated the places or people with close contact. Once the virus has spread then it is a hopeless situation.

Take a look at Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand now!
Thailand has been welcome foreign tourists for several months already and the tough entry requirement has also been scaled down from yesterday.

As for Malaysia!!!! NOT even inter state travelling is permitted. Flattening of the curve? It was only temporary.

Another summer is fast approaching.
