Link? Citation? I can't find it in the catalog...Jarrod Jablonski interviewed him on GUE.tv close to 2 years ago now for those interested
I stopped Subscribing for GUE.tv a while ago, but I can assure you it WAS there. I talked about it with several friends.Link? Citation? I can't find it in the catalog...
Wow, that is unnerving. Having a bottle with "Irvine" on it LOL. It's all crazy just looking back at the transcripts and what was said by Irvine. He had so many fanboys doing his slave work, doing stages for his teams in cave diving, cleaning, keeping guard and promising them such a bright future in cave diving. But he would just throw them bones and they'd fetch.Several years ago, I had a couple multiple hour phone conversations with Brett Gilliam, and several of those hours were spent talking about George Irvine. Based on that conversation, I am amazed he was able to hold back his true feelings as much as he did when he wrote that article.
Years ago I did TDI Trimix and Advanced Trimix training through TDI, using course materials that have long since passed into obsolescence. My instructor knew nothing about the WKPP, George Irvine, or even the term DIR. He was surprised when I showed him how several of the sections in the course materials in which the writer ridiculed certain beliefs were aimed at Irvine.
When Irvine dropped out of diving, he sold much of his gear online. My first tech instructor got an argon bottle from him. I found it unnerving to be diving with the name "Irvine" boldly written on a buddy's gear.
Your 10s of Googling was far more effective than my 10 mins of searching on the GUE site.I stopped Subscribing for GUE.tv a while ago, but I can assure you it WAS there. I talked about it with several friends.
EDIT: 10 seconds of googling later... A Conversation with Cave Diving Pioneer George Irvine
Your time would have better spent talking with George about Brett Gilliam.Several years ago, I had a couple multiple hour phone conversations with Brett Gilliam, and several of those hours were spent talking about George Irvine. Based on that conversation, I am amazed he was able to hold back his true feelings as much as he did when he wrote that article.

Nobody cares that your feelings are still hurt.Wow, that is unnerving. Having a bottle with "Irvine" on it LOL. It's all crazy just looking back at the transcripts and what was said by Irvine. I'm surprised they still call him a pioneer after all the abuse that came out of his mouth. Even still surprised at the "Halcyon" line of things, to me it still reeks of fanboys of Irvine and WKPP
