Suggestion What happened to the Science & Physics of Diving?

Ever since the new format was adopted for 'Marine Science and Physiology' we haven't had any of the great threads like 'Does gravity work underwater?' or speculations on pyrophoric sheep, or such any more. Just serious science questions about compartment half-times and such.

Shouldn't there once again be a sub-forum at least on Science & Physics of diving?

I see two votes for, zero votes against. Doesn't appear to stir a lot of opposition - so why not Tech Admin? This has been sitting for more than 3 months where others who might protest could do so.

Bringing that forum back would just lead to me arguing with Walter some more.. except he might have to contend with cornfed this time too

Well, ScubaBoard isn't exactly a democracy

Actually I have no idea why the thing is gone, but I'm sure there's a good reason. We have a billion different forums anyway, and those discussions can IMO easily fit into Basic Scuba Discussions.

I know I've seen a couple of complaints about the myriad of forums and subforums, and I've had a few complaints about it myself. I think it's probably an unnecessary forum and I don't miss it too much.

That's why I appealed to Tech Admin. But tell me, if I was a Supporting Member, would my vote count more for $$$? Is this the 'not quite democracy" you refer to? I haven't seen such info before.

otherwise, still looks like 2 votes for, 1 against. LOADS of abstentions.
