my hp steel 80's weigh less then my al80's and its stays negative during my dive

Why is everyone talking about weight? That's hardly the topic. The common metric is usually the empty buoyancy property.

A steel cylinder can often be more negatively buoyant AND weight less lightening your load in terms of cylinder AND lead. Here is a case study that includes links to spec. charts.

thats what most here are referring to, the weight needed to offset the positive buoyancy and the difference between this fat 80 aluminum tank and a regular Al80
 
The "Super 80" was produced by Luxfer USA.

It's main advantage was it's compact height. Divers with limited waist to shoulder length really enjoyed the cylinder. Between 1999 and 2003 we sold a lot of them.
They are even shorter than a steel 80.

The worthingtons HP steel 80 are a tad bit shorter than the fabers if that is a big consideration.
 
Yes it was 8 inch diameter.
