How do you find the heavyier ball?

Put 3 balls on each side of rthe balance scale. (Putting 2 aside for the moment)
If t the 2 sets of 3 balance, the heavier ball must be one of the "unused" ones.
Put each one of those on the scale-the heavier one will show up.

If they 3 vs 3 weighing does not balance, take the 3 balls that were heavier, put one on each side of the scale( again, putting one ball aside). If the 2 balance, the 3rd ball is the heavier one. If the 2 don't balance, the heavier ball will be revealed.
