Here's another one.

At an antique show, a antique dealer has a sword he is selling from World War I that was awarded to a soldier for service. Inscribed is "Awarded July 1916 for Gallantry in Service at the Battle of Somme - World War I"

Another veteran walks up, looks quickly at it and states that the sword is a fake. How did he know?

Yep. Both of you are right. It wasn't called WWI until after they had another "world war". Until then it was called "The Great War" and several other names....
