A while back there was a thread called "What diving means to me". There was some excellent answers straight from the heart by many divers. I'd like to add to that thread and hope it will cause a lot more of you to join in. Last November I gave my grandniece a gift for her "Bat Mitzvah" an introductory dive at the underwater museum of Ceasera, Israel. I just came along for the ride because she dove with a diving instuctor. It was a lot of fun but I saw just how my grandniece was so focus on diving and whats going around her that my heart filled up with pride. Upon arriving at home my grandniece went up to her room and wrote a few lines and I'd liked to share them with you:
Im shiftingforwards with slow movements without gravity. Everything is moving with me with the same backwards forwards movements. A cloud of fish the seize of a fingernail blocksthe sun from my eyes; Im a diver. I checkhow much air I have left- not much, I can probably can dive for about anotherfive minutes. With limited time I feel like in a dream that about to befinished. Without desire to go back to where I belong, hungry for an underseaadventure I go up.
