Has been underwater about seven times - pool, quarry, and Fl. Keys (Sea Base).

So far no problems with the housing. (where's the knock on wood smiley?)

The A40 is our second digital - I like the manual control features and the optical zoom.

I use a Canon Powershot S200 with the Canon WP-DC600 case (specifically for the S200).

Love the it as a land and U/W camera! :lovey: The camera itself is compact and durable, and the case is perfectly tailored for this camera (case was only $180, which isn't bad for a 100ft rating).

I'll try to post some pictures in the U/W Photo forum soon...

I'm new to diving (certified in June). I've taken a couple of rolls of film with an MX-10. But I would really like to put my digital into a housing, and use it. I have a CoolPix 995 and I really like the quality of land pictures it takes. Does anyone have experience with using it in a housing? I've been using it in auto mode. Is it as easy to use in a housing? Can you see the LCD? I have to save my pennies to buy the housing -- just bought gear, so I have to wait awhile.

I'm going to play with a borrowed MX-10 in Little Cayman next month.

Did anybody knows anything about housing for digital Oly E10/20 ?

I currently have a Nikonos for UW photography but I am seriously considering buying a digital Oly for both under and over water shots.

If such a housing is available, is this camera (E10 or E20) a good choice ?

Did shifting to digital means raplacing my flashes ?

Thanks.

not sure, but that is supposed to be a brilliant camera!!!

why not ask uwdigital?

on a second note, it is glad to see the Oly's are still in the lead, and looking at some of the pics people put on here you can see why!!

:D

I just got an Olympus C4040 digital. I have only used it in the dry so far, but cant wait to get it u/w for some shooting (picked up the PT-010 as well). Love it so far!:D

Glad to be one of the majority here ;)

I have Olympus C-4040Z with PT-010 for 3 months and just got Ikelite DS-50 & Inon UCL last week! Went to test my first strobe yesterday and you know what - I took about 30 shots, only 3 of them got proper light!! Need more practice and all your tips on "Flash Photography" will be much appreciated.

Juv....have you checked with Ikelite to make sure the strobe is working properly? I know in the past they had a problem with their sensors. It was a manufacturing problem but it wouldn't hurt to check with them.

Dear Dee,
Thanks for your advice. I'll check with Seat Thailand Co.,Ltd. (an Ikelite's dealer that I ordered this strobe from) tomorrow.

Olympus 4040z with PT 010 based on all the good vibes on this board. A trial in the pool and land shots have proven this to be a fantastic buy already. No strobe yet.

Going to Fiji next week. Will report back upon return Oct 20. Also doing video with Sony TRV-17 and Ikelite housing with Pro Video II Lights.

I've posted some test shots taken in an aquarium shop at the address below. This is where I will post my Fiji photos.

Thanx to everyone for your generous tips and tricks.
