smell what you like. Maybe it's what you had for breakfast that causes these smells from your own farts.|
It's not relevant to the discourse or how and when I deploy my DSMB's.

Sounds like you didn’t go through pocket loading with your students and the communication plan before the dive.
Also, at 07:45, you mention the importance of a top ring for attaching a wetnote. Do you instruct your students to send up the whole notebook? If just a page, how are you attaching the page to the ring for it to stay attached while traveling up from depth? I think the ring is better left for a strobe. The clear plastic pocket on the upper side of almost all DSMBs is where a page from a wet notebook goes.
