so you inflate a 10 foot dsmb at 2 metres?
Depends if I am in a swell of 2m or more, sometimes at 3m. I don't deploy it from a reel at depth.

I'm smelling the waffles again!Depends if I am in a swell of 2m or more, sometimes at 3m. I don't deploy it from a reel at depth.

Dear boy I doubt you even know how to send up a dsmb from that depth or if you do it lays on the surface without being erected, which makes it pretty much useless for the skipper to see when the waves and swell is high.smell what you like. Maybe it's what you had for breakfast that causes these smells from your own farts.|
It's not relevant to the discourse or how and when I deploy my DSMB's.![]()
I have a 4 foot orange one but really thinking about getting a 6 foot orange DSMB now for better visibility, especially if there's strong currents and swells with the reflective top part too after reading the comments here.
