What BC and reg do you use? How do you like them? Pro's , con's?

If you are actually hoping to gain useful info, it's probably better to narrow down what _you_ are looking at and then ask for peoples experiences with that gear.

Just my $0.02.

Oh, and if you really want this to be useful for yourself, tell us a little about yourself. How often will you be diving, where and under what conditions, what's your budget, what will influence your buying decision etc etc.

Good luck

Bjorn

Diverite SS BP/Rec Wing, diverite RG2500ice x 2 - never regreted it.

Not looking to get any useful info. just wondering. I will get the info. i need after certified.

Zeagle DS-V reg - love it
Zeagle Scout BC - very light weight - it's supposed to be my travel BC, but I've been using it exclusively in local dives too. It's small, packs easy, no fuss, and seeing I only need 4 - 6lb's of weight with my normal set up, the integrated weight pockets at the back are more than adequate. No pockets (well, actually, I can't remember, never used them if it does have them) but it has all the D-rings I need.

I also have a Zeagle Tech BC - but I have yet to use it as the Scout has been far to easy to use :) Maybe if I get into serious tech diving, or when the water gets colder and I need more weight...

Mares MR12 Proton - breathes easy, fairly inexpensive and lightweight

Zeagle Brigade - fits me to a T! I've had problems finding a fitting BC due to my body frame. The modular approach to Zeagle BCs allows me to custom-fit them to me (there are of course other brands which allow you to do this e.g. DiveRite)

Welcome Sandman!! You might want to fill out your profile etc.....

Zeagle Envoy Dlx - Great Reg
Zeagle Octo+ - Great 2nd
Zeagle Ranger - Love the adjustability, lift and Quality of construction!!

My wife has:
Sherwood Blizzard - Very good reg (Not as Dry as My Zeagle)
Zeagle Ranger - Same as mine (She had a difficult time with 30Lb weight belt)

Hope you find a good instructor and get alot out of you OW course.

Me,
Sherwood Avid BCD
Sherwood Blizzard & "standard" alternate second

Wive:
Seaquest Diva LX BCD
Sherwood Blizzard & "standard" alternate second

Happy divers all around.

Yea full profile always helps. Likewise be sure to look at all of ours. Where divers dive has a lot to do with what we choose. Make sure you understand what you read here in full context!

Me:
Oceanic Chute 3 BC
Aeris A1 Reg
Oceanic Slimline Octo

Son:
Oceanic Ocean Pro FX BC
Aeris A1 Reg
Oceanic Slimline Octo

We're both very happy all around with these. The Chute 3 coiuld have more pockets but the fit is awsome. I really love the A1 regulator, for the money it can't be beat.

Reg: ScubaPro MK25/S600
BC: Knighthawk

Love the regulator (also has a parts for life program).
The BC is back inflate which I really like, but may not be for everyone. The only thing that I would change is adding more pockets.

Good luck and have fun!

Zeagle Zena, which I LOVE, although an extra pocket would be nice, but it is so comfortable and quick to don. Reg is Sherwood Oasis. Breathes easy at any depth and temp.
