1. Not enough time for diving
2. Work schedule interferes with diving.
3. Not enough money.

1. Divers who do not maintain their skills and/or equipment. 2. Rude divers- the ones who chase everything, swim into your picture or video to see what your looking at, wo chatter during briefings, and that kind of stuff. 3. Cost of travel. There it is, short and to the point.

I've actually had a big garfish(got that from translate) swim straight at me, and I thought well that's strange. Then I saw the 8 diver that were stalking it. :) first time I felt bad for a fish I've seen while diving.

1. A wife that hates my diving.
2. Time to do it
3. Getting conditions to line up with when I get a break from work and permission from the wife.

I've sat here looking at this thread for the last 10 minutes.....and I can't think of one.

Can't dive often enough

Can't find enough time to dive

When I do dive I can't stay down long enough.

Ah ha - must be a UK diver ! - at least you are on the coast. - P

Yup. but not really on the coast, but London-town.
Wasn't a bad summer for sea diving this year though. Managed to get about 15-20 in during June, July, and August (plus the usual quarry dives as well). Only blown out twice i think.

1. Work interferes with diving. My bosses don't understand.
2. Conditions. Sometimes the ocean seems to know when I have a weekend off and messes up my plans.
3. Money. The better my equipment gets, the more I seem to spend. My boat costs half of my salary each month, but I'm not complaining. :)

1) Only 160hrs/yr vacation time & not allowed to take days off in "no pay," so I will miss the 2014 Scubaboard Invasion to Roatan.
2) The spring-fed lake we used to use for checkouts (72 degrees, 60+ viz year round) is not currently open for classes.
3) Burned basically all FF miles and amex points from when I used to travel for work, so I will be sitting in coach class to Singapore next year...meaning I have to try to pack a lot better (read: less stuff).

First world problems, right?

Really, my life is pretty damn good.

1. Warm clear water diving is too far away
2. My 7mm sucks and a drysuit is too expensive (for the limited local diving I do)
3. Warm clear water diving is too far away
