I have worn out my Mares Trilastic dive gloves and cannot buy them here any more so I am in the market for a new pair of 3mm and 5mm gloves. I do a lot of wreck diving so they get quite a hard time.

What can you recommend to me??

Regards,

Lance

I really like my Waterproof gloves. Very flexible and tough faux (i think) leather palms. I done a lot of wreck dives with them now and they seem to be standing up well to the abuse. They allow good dexterity also. The grip was a bit 'slippy' (i.e. climbing up steel boat ladders) at first, but the palms soon 'roughened' and give a strong grip now.

They are only 1.5mm - but the snug fit and good materials seems to provide good insulation...

I have gone to the local sporting goods store and found 3 mm gloves , usually very cheap as opposed to dive gloves. These are made for sportsman and seem to take a considerable amount of abuse. Besides you can buy 4 or 5 pair of theses Vs. 1 pair of dive gloves. Hope this helps.
