Hey you all,

I'm planning a vacation to Koh Samui in the upcoming months, and I'd like to practice some scuba diving during my stay. Do you know of any good spots in the island that are recommended for beginners?

Thanks a lot in advance!

yes, there is no dive sites around Samui.
dive shops will either bring you to the Sail Rock (highly recommend btw!) which is near Koh Phangan, or to Koh Tao.

What do you think about Ang Thong Marine Park? Is it a good diving spot? I'm also planning to take a tour with Yacht Tours & Charters - Samui | Boutique Yachting and perhaps it could be possible to do some scuba diving during it. What do you think?

AFAIK, dive ops in Koh Samui actually go to Koh Tao. If you want to save travel time and money, just move to Koh Tao for the part of your vacation when you plan to dive.
Hey, thanks for the recommendation. I had already read about Koh Tao and how it is better than Samui for scuba diving. Now I will definitively add it to my list!

Sorry I did not dive there, and AFAIK most tour operators do not provide diving tours to the Ang Thong - only snorkeling and kayaking, so you will have to search for the diving tour there.
