The newer DR design sucks, IMO it's like the ACB but oriented diferently, older style DR are great, I got one set of the older style, and they are rock solid and don't slide around in the belt.
Also got some XS pockets that I use for storing other stuff, they're dirt cheap and can be mounted anywhere a 2" weebing is used, I wouldn't recomend placing them upside down since anything with velcro is bound to fail one day (probably the worst day), but if you want to be able to ditch, tie a piece of string or rope to the weight block and use it to pull out the block in case you need to ditch, also you may be able to pick the block and take it out easily without any strings attached to it.
OMS are bulky outward since they combine a weight system with an accesory pouch.
DR, OMS and Halcyon are veeeeery expensive, if I had to do it again, I'll get the XS from day one.
If you have patience, you may be able to find some older style DR 32# pockets on ebay, I'm very happy with mine and wish DR went back to that design.
