My husband took this shot of this rare 1/2" nudibranch in Maui with his Canon T2i and 60mm macro lens a couple of days ago. I'm continuously amazed at what a huge difference between the DSLR and P&S is! No regrets at spending the money on the upgrade.

I have that set up as well and am impressed with the IQ and the speed of focus. I am also a big fan of the Tokina 10-17 for WA. It has a really nice DOF even fairly wide open which makes it easy to get decent detail for WA shots.

We have a Sea&Sea housing and really like it. Bought everything (except camera and one strobe) though a SB member who is a dealer, Jack Connick at Optical Ocean Sales.

I have been thinking about getting the Tokina 10-17 for my T2I. Overall I have been very pleased with my cammera

I'm currently considering upgrading to this same setup (T2i w/Sea & Sea housing). Thanks for the info.

I think the T2i is the ideal UW DSLR based on size, sensor, and excellent lens availability. The exception would be if your were shooting only available light then a full frame would be better but way more expensive. The Sea and Sea housing looks nice. I have a Watershot that is no longer made but it is a tank! I use two Inon S2000 strobes which provide a ton of light for their size. They are easy to travel with due to their small size.

I agree, for the money, a T2i is an amazing tool. Sea and sea or Aquatica, Ikelite just gotta pick your price point. the Tokina 10 - 17 is also a great lens for the money.
If you can, pick up some kind of video light like a sola 2000 and shoot some video with it. You will be impressed with as well.
