from may 15 to sept 15, the whale sharks will be all over the yucatan peninsula of mexico including the gulf and carribean waters. mayan aqua dive offers you the opportunity to snorkel and swim with these graceful giants only 1hr from cancun.

we depart daily 7:30am in high speed, luxury shark boats to take you from cancun to north side of isla contoy where we will give you 3hrs to snorkel with the sharks. you will be presented with outstanding service, lunch and open bar throughout the day.

During the summer months the annual migrations of whale sharks sets in again, usually from the beginning of June until the end of August.

It is a world class experience, to be swimming that close with the largest fish in the world. The best place to have this incredible experience is by departing from Holbox Island, which is a small island in the Gulf of Mexico, but also part of a huge nature preserve. During the summer months there are not only Whale Sharks, but also Mantas, Turtles, Dolphins, Flamingos, Pelicans ...... its pure nature at its best.

The excursions actually start from the Riviera Maya with pick up from any hotel location early in the morning. If you leave too late the ocean will not be flat, and the animals tend to dive below the surface.

The whale shark safari offers a guarantee - yes thats right: the client will swim with a whale shark (mostly with many!) or money back (or the customer can reschedule). Now I call that a fair deal. The company that provides that service is Pro Dive Mexico - a National Geographic PADI Center located at the Riviera Maya.
