Wetsuit size affect on BC

I am getting ready to pull the trigger on my first BCD. Finally. The thing is, I am going to stores trying on BD wearing a thin shirt. What affect on the size will my 3 mm or 7 mm suit have on the size? Should I buy a bit large? I also will be doing a fair amount of tropical diving with no wetsuit.

I would recommend getting something very adjustable. I dive the Zeagle concept and it is a good balance between BC/BPW. I have used it wearing .5mm to 7mm and it is just a matter of sinching it down a little tighter. FYI you wear Zeagles a little lower than other BC's.
