I decided to go with a pair of orange 5mm gloves. Nice and bright for those low vis moments 
I may be getting a camera and housing for some underwater photography attempts. Was thinking gloves like http://tinyurl.com/6k44y might be good for cameras and other things that require some manual dexterity. They have thinner neoprene on the thumb and forfinger. So i may eventually pick up a pair of 3/1.5 mm gloves from them. For now i'll go with the thicker ones since i don't need to do much with my hands when i dive right now. Would rather be toasty warm
