Depends on how many dives you are going to do. If you are like me, and want to dive as muchas possible, I would wear a 3mm full suit, just to keep your own temp up. If you are just diving once per day, then a skin would be fine.

Grajan:
I wear my 3/2 full suit. It is perfectly comfortable and good protection.
I'm also a big fan of the multi-thickness suits. I find the O'neill 3/2 Reactor full wetsuit works well even in 86F water, and with a beanie is good down to around 76F or so.

If you are doing a Cozumel drift dive right, then it's very low exertion and you'll get much colder than if you were swimming.

It's better to err on the side of being too warm, since you can always unzip a bit.

Joy:
Hi everyone-
I am new to this site and think it is an awesome way to learn more about diving. My husband and I are heading to Cozumel next week and staying at Scuba Club. Could someone tell me if full wet suits are a must in Coz in July. I'm sure it's a good idea due to staying warm and/or protection from sun and sea creatures.
If someone could give me some insight on different options... 1mm vs. 3mm etc. and also can we get them through Scuba Club dive site??
Thanks so much for your time-

Next time I go back I'm buying on of those Henderson Microprene suits. I was burning up in a 3mm. I mostly did all my second dives in board shorts and a long sleeve Under Armour shirt. I was a tad and I mean tad bit chilly so I think the microprene 1 mm would be perfect.

I´m in Cozumel right now. I´ve been using a 3mm shorty with no problems. The water is about 84-86f. If you get cold easily then I would use a full 3mm, otherwise you´ll be fine.
