A man is dead and two other people hospitalized after a diving incident Tuesday afternoon at the Riviera Beach Marina, city Fire Rescue crews said.
The two people who were injured are being treated at St. Mary’s Medical Center, fire crews said.
An employee at Jim Abernethy’s Scuba Adventures in Lake Park confirmed the incident happened aboard their boat, Shear Water.
Jackie Bailey, the bookkeeper at Scuba Adventures, said there were seven guests and three crew members aboard.
Bailey said the person who died was a man who had three family members with him.
Emily Seaman, a 17-year-old who works at the Peanut Island Shuttle Boat, said she saw people rush a man who was wearing a diving suit off a boat. His face was blue.
Seaman saw two others put on stretchers, she told The Post.
