Hello

I have only recently started diving, I commenced my OW course at the beginning of January completing dives 1 &" at a disused quarry in Lancashire with an air temperature of 0 degrees and a water temperature of 5 degrees. :ice:

During dive 2, we completed all of the dive flex skills and I became the first student to 'go turtle' whilst attempting a fin pivot

After extensive practise in confined water, I have now mastered the art of not 'going turtle' whilst fin pivoting, hover is another matter ;)

OW dives 3 & 4 were completed in the North Sea in the borders of Scotland at a town called Eyemouth. No problems here, other than the effects of the increased buoyancy in sea water against fresh, but we all have to learn.

So, I am now qualified and looking forward to further adventures under water.

I am booked up on holiday to go to Sharm el Sheikh on 18th Feb, 4 nights hotel, 3 nights liveaboard to complete AOW and I can't wait :D

Equipment so far is a mixture of Beaver and Oceanic, but ever happy to hear the POV and experience from other divers as to kit, technique and dive sites.

A further trip is planned to Oban in March

Thats all for now folks
