You are right I did misinterpret your response, sorry. As your statement about my and the tread starters weight I have a response.
You are right I do need more bouyance practice but when I went out with the same gear for the first time I had 20 lbs. and could not get underwater with my BC completely deflated, I was not kicking. I discussed this with some of the women tech divers at my work who spend 3-4 hours underwater 5 days a week, one of whom was diving with me and trimmed my weights, adding the 8lbs., for me the first day with the current gear I have. I have a farmer jane and top, 7mm and a thinner hood/vest, the tech divers did not think that my weight was beyond reason. During my last dive I started ascending unwillingly with the 28lbs. and my BC deflated. Any insites or advice? I would like to learn to better and safer. I will try not to misinterpret you this time. :embarr:

Fact is, NO PERSON (of either sex) who weighs 130, needs 28 lbs, no matter what suit they're wearing. and furthermore NO PERSON PERIOD needs 50 lbs.
