Hi All,

Question: Has anyone made a table of weight variation between cylinders of theoretically the same size?

I know that there are definitely differences between tanks of various ages but I'm interested in seeing what the variation is.

For doubles I'm not worried but I'm curious to see for sidemount as it could affect balance significantly.

I have weighed a couple of my S72s and found a 0.7lb difference (matching DGX modular valves and similar fill) although I'll be redoing it next time I drain them fully prior to filling. These are the tanks that interest me most and would most like to see numbers on but I'd be interested in seeing a table of any steel tanks.

A google sheet or similar with size, DOB, manufacturer and valve installed would be really useful. If noone has anything in place then I might put something together and post it when I next do weights.

There is a spreadsheet @Luis H made for his Lp72 tanks. I haven’t seen anything else made for other models.

I thought that I had seen a mention in the past but couldn't find it directly and couldn't remember who did it.

Do you have a link to it or should I message Luis directly?

Thanks.
