I have a transpac with the integrated weight pouches and they're perfectly comfortable when diving. It's much easier to put the weights in before putting the BC on but the weight adds a little more inconvenience; nothing too drastic though.
I dive with a lad that has the DUI Classic weight system with the suspenders. This looks really handy as it would make the BC much easier to don while on land as it would be much lighter (21lbs in my case) and the weight is supported by your shoulders instead of your hips. Also lugging the rig around with the weights still attached is much harder on the equipment. You can see the added stress on the straps and seams.
I do have a couple doubts as now there are 2 belts instead of 1 and possibly more straps to fiddle with when putting the BC on and taking it off.
Anyone have an opinion?
