Hey, if I am changing from a 7 mm wetsuit to a 3 mm wetsuit, does anybody have an estimate of how much weight I'd drop- all other things being equal. Say in a regular BC with AL80 tank I'd use 22 #. How much in a 3 mm. Thanks.

ALso, any idea of what the conversion between fresh and salt water. I.E if I wear X in fresh water, how much do I add in salt to have the same buoyancy.

Wow, I was just about ready to post a nearly identical question. Thanks for the quick response, jbd -- ScubaBoard is such an excellent resource!
 
All the math and rules of thumb aside. The best method is to do a proper in-water weighting check.
