Rick, if I were diving in warm water like you with a single tank & NDL I might adopt a similar approach and have my weight belt over the crotch strap ... at least I wouldn't be opposed to doing it that way....

Here in the PNW with 47F and drysuits for redundant buoyancy (plus lift bag) things are a little different. My chief concern is not getting up but making sure I am able to stay down.

And for the discussion since not everyone on the list is diving coldwater/drysuits/deco I thought I should point this out.
