Man I wish I could make this dive. Have a fun, safe dive everyone! I can't wait for Sunday's dive, I just hope I have enough air in my tank when I get home.

Hey Firedive, why don't you and Neil make your way out to Deer Creek, I can almost guarantee you that if conditions are right you guys will have a better dive. Just make sure you guys stick with the kind of beach entries and exits, the infamous Rickster!

Don't worry Neil, Rick can act as a surrogate life guard, you can even call him Shelly. :rofl3:

Wind has been blowing up to 10 knots in Malibu the last few days...not sure on Deer Creek or Malibu Road as of now. I'll be diving Escondido Creek (more protection) it looks like a river again.

Rick, any thoughts on plan B?

I'll be in Pacific Palisades around 1 pm, I'll post an updated surf report if my WiFi card works or call the party planner.

See you guys tomorrow!

I drove by Deer Creek yesterday and all I can say is NICE! It is waiting for us.

Neil, I learned along time ago to not go by the weather & surf reports. So many times I have not done a dive, because it was predicted to be high surf (one time it said 8' waves, & it was like a lake, flat)and later I hear it was flat. And that is true about predictions of being flat, and show up to huge wave action. I have adopted a practice to just go and look. If it is divable, I dive, if not, then I find a better site. Socal conditions can not be predicted, and they change at a moments notice. If I went by all the predictions out there, I wouldn't be diving a couple times a week. Just go, look, and dive. That is my suggestion. With Beach diving here in SoCal, you have to be flexable, as far as, being able to dive or just meet and have a good time with friends, if you can't dive. You have to just say no, we can't dive, without any letdown feeling. This is SoCal Diving!
