We were thinking about it. We'd be able to be there Saturday, Saturday night and Sunday. Having never been, not knowing many people, and waiting so late to decide we were'nt sure about it. We'd like to. Are there any campsites left? Places to park a boat? I've been to Vortex once.
Saturday night is the time to be there, as that's when we have the cookout and um.... well, some people like to drink adult beverages and sing karaoke on Saturday, so I'll just say that there is good food and "entertainment" of varying quality and descriptions

X-Ray and I should have a sign on the tent with our ScubaBoard names, and you've met both of us, so you should recognize us. We'll be happy to give you a few pointers about where to be with your camera to get the best shots

Most people bring something for the grill or some other camp-friendly vittles to share.
Saturday everyone usually finds something to dive in the area, either by charter, shore, boat, cave or spring. Vortex has a full service dive shop, so you can get your fills done there, and pick up any extra gear you may need. Panama City, and Destin have shops that can do the same thing of course.
Sunday is usually spent recovering from Saturday, and some folks will try to work a dive or two in on their way back home.
It's a great way to meet new divers, and you'll already know some of the cool kids, so it should be a good time
