On Monday, the Weather Channel will be in the Straits of Mackinac filming part of a special on how ships have been lost due to the weather in the Great Lakes. The Michigan Underwater Preserve Council and the local preserve committee are providing historical and weather experts on the loss of ships in the Straits and assisting in production. If you are in the area, stop by the Rec Diver in St. Ignace next to the Starline Main Dock (across from the Driftwood motel) about 9 am Monday and you may find yourself used as an "extra".
