Goodmorning fellow divers,

Arriving later this week on Bonaire. I dove up till now only on the side of Kralendijk and little Bonaire. Last years around this time a rash shirt was more than adquate given the waterremperature. So I consider to leave my 3mm shorty home. This year I like to dive to on the other side, the eastcoast.
Could someone advise me if the watertemperature on the eastcoast is much lower?, in other words do I need to pack my shorty?
All advise is very much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Ron.

Temps are the same, within fractions of a degree, all around the island. Thermoclines are more relevant than location.

I always recommend coverages of legs and arms, for protection from stingy things in the water, and possible falls during entry/exit.

Indeed, thats is why I have my rash shirt and pants with long sleeves, pipes.
You had only previously mentioned a shirt or a shorty. What is "pipes?"
