What are the water temps in February on Kauai and Maui. I'll be fine but my wife is 5'4' 135lbs she doesn't dive but will snorkel a lot. I am thinking about getting her a shortie or wetsuit?

Shorty would be good..... if the surface temps are anything like Oahu they should be in the mid to high 70's. I recall it being a degree or two warmer on Maui and not sure about Kauai, but probably about the same.

Last Christmas/New Years the water was consistently 74 degrees around Maui. A shorty would be a minimum IMO.
For snorkeling? I try to avoid the wetsuit when I snorkel, but I guess that's because I always want to free-dive down to check stuff out. And then curse at myself for not bringing a tank.
