I'm heading down on Wednesday and wondering what water temps I can expect.

A friend was down last weekend and said it was around 82. The bouy marker deepstops posted for me last week, www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=FWYF1 says over 83.

Thanks, and looking forward to my first dives in FL that aren't in the Keys.

I had 81 on a beach dive Thursday night, on the Mercedes on Saturday, and on a 30 foot reef on Saturday. I was fine with my 3 mil jumpsuit and I am someone who gets chilly easily.

Thanks for the quick reply Debby. Appreciate it.

My computer showed it was 85 degrees from 165' all the way to the surface but I think it may read a degree or two higher than reality. I tried to upload a screenshot of depth/time/temp but I'm finding no joy when uploading this evening.

Brian, mine reads a little cooler from the water chill factor...ya know, because I swim so fast. :D

Dang, Brian, you made me Google.

Hmm, so if I think somewhere around 82-83 I'll be in the ball park.

I just returned from Pompano, and the water temp was 81 and 82 all week long. I doubt if the water is getting any warmer.
