This diver was narced AF, or something like a quiet panic. That's where my wrong gas supposition came in. Did I read max depth was 67m? That switch I'll assume was Tmx to Air? Maybe at 50m... narced AF. Calm, but narced or quite panic.

I am still shaken. I feel like when you watch a well done horror movie and you're screaming at the protagonist to "get out of the house, now!"

And now for the scary part.....as commented on facebook:
I have contacted Tarek and ask a statement about this. He don't really want to give a clear answer. The only fact, that he offers is the drivers are trimix certified. What ever that means.

According to public sources, the person who uploaded the video was TDI certified in advanced trimix three years ago by scuba seekers in Dahab. It is not known if the person who uploaded the video is the same person who took the video.

Alright, I feel a bit like a dork. That feeling you get when the obvious answer I didn’t see was the most obvious answer. THAT would be my takeaway. If I am ever with a diver and they are overly “okay” when I suspect they shouldn’t be, I should check or be aware of signs of being narc’d.

So much wrong with this video but the kicker for me was when the guide basically did the diver's gas switch for him

Forget the student. I want to know what's up with this guy's third leg...

Not a dry suit diver, is that what his pee valve drains into? And if so, what do you set the IP for on the first stage?

I'm pretty sure that the student, after he survived, he went to the bar, had a shot or two of vodka, bragged with his friends, and said "Let's do it again!"...

Honestly, we all know someone that goes too far out from its actual certification...
He or she probably never learn, as probably the dude in the video.
And that' s how natural selection works.
